Here’s what Taylor say about the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor
Inspired by memories of writing songs on her own Baby Taylor, Taylor Swift collaborated with Taylor Guitars to design the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor (TSBT). Based on our compact 3/4-scale Dreadnought, the TSBT is crafted from a resilient sapele laminate body with a solid Sitka spruce top. Swift’s custom, screen-printed rosette design features the word “Love” three times among a delicate vine motif. The personalized design also features her signature above the bridge. With a slim 1 11/16-inch neck and a compact shape, the guitar is just right for a young player’s hands and anyone who likes to pick up and play on the go. The TSBT is available at the same price point as the standard Baby Taylor, and comes with a gig bag.

Here’s what Taylor say about Taylor Swift
Once a talented preteen with a Taylor guitar and big musical dreams, country pop superstar Taylor Swift has realized those dreams and then some, taking the world by storm over the last several years. Swift spent much of 2009 on her first headlining tour, in support of her multiplatinum sophomore release Fearless. A sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden offered a compelling sign of her popularity, as her devoted young fans passionately sang along to every song, at one point giving the engaging singer-songwriter a four-minute standing ovation. In 2009 Swift celebrated the milestone success of 10 million total albums sold and over 20 million paid downloads (more than any artist in country music history). Before exiting her teenage years, she has already been honored with more music awards than most artists receive in a lifetime.
A prolific songwriter who says when she composes a tune she can hear it completely produced in her head, Swift wrote eight of the 13 tunes on Fearless herself, and co-wrote the rest. She also co-produced the record. Her diary-confessional lyrics, usually about relationships, tap the complex swirl of experiences and emotions that accompany the journey of growing up, and Swift has an uncanny ability to articulate those sentiments in a way that her peers can fully relate to. During an interview at the Taylor Guitars factory, Swift indirectly explained the power of her own songs in talking about what she likes about other people’s. “A song becomes my favorite song when [an artist] can say how I’m feeling better than I could,” she reflected.
Taylor Guitars has enjoyed a warm relationship with Swift that traces back to when she was barely a teenager with a store-bought 615ce, but already the signs of a major songwriting talent in the making were there. Along the way, Swift’s Taylor collection has grown considerably. Her two main performance Taylors are her custom, all-koa PSGA (AA koa top, Florentine cutaway, “Taylor” fretboard inlay, passive ES) and a Swarovski crystal-encrusted GS6 that was originally decorated for a video shoot. Her other models include a 615ce, maple PS-LTD with a tobacco sunburst and Florentine cutaway, a pink T5-S (with flake-top finish), a pair of K65ce’s, a custom maple Dreadnought with the “Living Jewels” koi fish inlay, a PSGA and a black SolidBody Classic.
Swift also fondly remembers her pint-size Baby Taylor as the perfect go-to guitar in between gigs during her early days of touring. “I used to sit in the back seat of the rental car while I was on my radio tour at 16, writing songs on my Baby Taylor guitar,” she reflects. “I love the sound, and I love those memories.”
Recalling how the compact, portable Baby was a great songwriting tool for a girl on the go, Swift in turn wanted to encourage others to express their feelings through music, which led to the development of her signature model Taylor Swift Baby Taylor (TSBT).
“I wanted to share my passion for playing guitar with my fans,” she says. “For a beginner, finding the right guitar can be intimidating, but this guitar, it’s the perfect size. Even if you’ve been playing for years, it’s a great size to travel with.”
